Fortnite Special Event Update 1:
More information has been discovered by dataminers, according to FortniteIntel via reddit.According to the new data found in the patches, you will be able to see all 20 friendly destination markers on the map, and non-squad teammates will be green. The mode will go live with v3.2.0, too, meaning that it will theoretically launch at March 8 at midday in the UK.
Interestingly, there will only be 1 bus dropping in players at the start of the game.Wins in this mode will not count towards your stats thanks to the event's status as a limited time mode. However, Limited Time Mode-specific profiles are coming in the future.
Each squad wil be limited to 4 people.
We'll update you as more information becomes available.
Epic has been experimenting with various different game modes for its blockbuster shooter hit.
The most recent mode the studio has been testing involves a Teams of 20 playlist for fans to check out.
Although Epic hasn't revealed much about the gameplay portion of this mode, it looks like Epic will be allowing five teams of 20 players to jump into a game and take each other out using the usual Battle Royale rules.
It's very likely this will be a limited-time event - similar to what Epic has done before with special playlists - so if you like the sound of the mode, you should make the most of it whilst it's active.
Epic has not yet announced a release date for this exciting new mode, but if previous patterns are anything to go by, we can probably expect to see it go live later this month.
Some hopeful players are suggesting the mode will go live later this week (meaning Thursday, thanks to how Epic's server resets work) but Epic hasn't formally confirmed anything yet.
